I have a website that's in HTML that I need converted into WP...

Is there a simple solution?

If not can someone sent me a quote on making a wordpress theme that's the same design we're using now?

Can do, but why do you want to do this? Your money might be better spent on custom coding for whatever features wordpress offers that you are after as wordpress is slow. Unless you are looking for ecommerce.

The simplest way is probably to find a similar WP theme to your design and customize the stylesheet. Or take a theme like Atahulpa and use the built-in style customizer to make it look like your old site.

If that fails, do you have a PSD mockup of the current design? Those "PSD to HTML" services generally do PSD to HTML for about $39, and PSD to WP for $99.

Couldn't I do this the other way around?

Get someone to do: HTML to PSD > PSD to WP?

Do a PSD > Wordpress Service, Then copy your content over to the wordpress site, prob the easiest way to do it. I'm not affiliated with them, but I go through XHTMLChop, and have finished around 6 sites with them. I usually spend around $150/theme with install. There service is always great, but there's no phone at night, so sometimes it's an issue. But how many pages/how much content are you using on your current site? You could spent hours on the content transfer alone..

I've never seen it, but it could be out there. Pretty much any designer can do it, I've just never seen a site dedicated to it (like XHTMLChop etc.)

Going straight from HTML to a WP theme, assuming the HTML site is tableless and uses CSS, is typically a simple process. It's sometimes as easy as changing element names in the stylesheet and applying that as a child theme over a WP framework like Thematic, Carrington, etc.

yeah what elvis said. I usually charge 200 to convert html to wordpress but it's not hard. If you have a table'd html page then it's more because you have to slice pages up quite a bit. More like 600 then because you have to first convert your table design to floating divs.

Danke, listen bro, you can't recreate the psd from the html. The best you can do is a flat image which usually will work but if there are any halos or glows you may not achieve the desired look. Ideally having an original PSD would work best. Who knows though maybe the person that converted it originally did a good job and it's easily do-able.

I'll take a look at the code for you for free and let you know what needs to be done. I won't actually do the coding to wordpress but you'llknow exactly what to do, if you haven't already. Pm sent

Not sure if your looking to replicate the actual theme from your HTML site and make it the same as wordpress, but when I was ready to take the plunge from HTML to Wordpress, all I did was find a theme that I knew had good success with CTR and such for Adsense, copied all of my content and then changed the permalinks to end in .html so I wouldn't have to worry about re-indexing and such.

I experienced no complications this way, and actually ended up getting better CTR with the new theme. I was hesitant at first to do this because I didn't want to lose the money I was already making. Turns out it increased, so I am happy I did this.

I no longer have the website in question, but I believe you change the permalinks to %postname%.html or something like that. I am sure if you Google it, you can find what you need.

This was the easiest thing in my opinion. Other then that, I am not sure.

Hope that helps man.
