Hydra - BURN THE WITCH!

Yep. In fact we did more than think about it.

Do you care to explain why you didn't sue then? If they owed you money, you could have at least got some of the money back and avoided this whole situation.

Edit: Explain the "more than think about it part" please. I missed this the first time I read it (hurr durr).

Sorry Faint, I didn't mean to be so flippant.

Yes, we have - of course - aggressively pursued all money owed to us including bringing suit. Note that suing for money can take a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrry long time. Also, many of the companies that owed us went out of business due to the changing environment. We hope to collect as much as we can, but it will likely be a small fraction of the total... and some we have written off entirely as non-collectible.

I know this is a joke but i will answer it anyway...

We only have one single remaining Acai product campaign that is compliant enough to run on our network. (We killed the rest.) And yes, if you were to run it and deliver conversions we would pay you on time.

So, you are dropping rebills (or atleast I've noticed by the new campaigns uploaded everyday into the system. I haven't seen a rebill in the LONGEST time.)

Is that the only thing you guys are dropping from the network?

Our focus has been and will continue to be on more high value and financially solid clients who operate in compliance with all the new FTC rules. So yes, we are definitely out of the type of rebill business that is drawing so many complaints. But that is not all...

We also have been eliminating all low-performing campaigns and not taking on campaigns that we do not think will perform well, or have not delivered high conversions in testing. There are many types of campaigns that fall under this category - it's across the board really.

The result is fewer overall campaigns - but those we do have offer our affiliates higher quality, higher conversions, and safety from FTC crackdowns.

You've got to give the guy props for hanging in and taking falcon punches like a champ. I must say that Mason's got Hydra's name quite a bit more respectable than their days of non-response. He's no Krongel, but seriously ... who is?

I'm still owed a decent amount from the re-bills I ran last fall through a network approx. the same size as Hydra so I know 1st hand that lawsuits can cause some SERIOUS cashflow issues. Mason claims to have eaten 10 million ... that's more than I can say from my experience. I'm sure most networks float enough money to give the CEOs bleeding ulcers. Enough that if the shit hits the fan, bankruptcy is a real option.

Disclaimer: I don't push any volume through Hydra

I've known people in recent history that's had lots of money taken by hydra. When asked for proof of any wrong doing they simple no longer talked to them. Makes you go hmmmmmm.

If your company airs its dirty laundry in a lawsuit (basically against itself to force restructuring), I don't care what your financial situation is 2 months later, you can't change the crap that was made public.

As for entering into legal action that was "guaranteed" to save the company, I'm sure you'll be able to find many cases where companies thought this was the case, but didn't end up happening...

you killed the rest? or dropped them when their MID's went shitballs? :conehead:

Props for answering these questions by the way.

In the past we chose not to participate because it always is a losing battle getting into arguments here. But not participating turned out to be worse.

So now i do respond to what we think are unfair allegations or insinuations, because they do have a negative effect on business. Plus it is disheartening to our hard working employees to see Hydra being smeared with no response from us. So i do respond as factually and revealingly as is possible.

We don't expect to win. Only inform.

A well-managed company would avoid receivership and founder lawsuits in the first place.

But I think you deserve credit for playing the cards you have been dealt. If Hydra indeed has been paying affiliates I hope you get through this.

Get them to come forward then.

I see all this Hydra hate; but no one is saying they didn't get paid. Until or if that happens, it just looks like some people have an axe to grind.

I applied about a year ago, accepted then those tards automatically banned me the minute I sent them my W9. Didn't reapply and I heard that I wasn't the only one. Their shitty asses loss

I do get wired even if its $50 a week - and they don't even charge wire fees. I've done volume with them in the past & never had any issues.
