but i need a coder.

it's a web app. there are many software capable to do the same job but not online, and being on a server would even make possible adding a really cool feature that the actual softwares aren't capable of.

I honestly don't have to much to offer, I'm a GUI guy, otherwise I would have tried to build it by my own.
 


i had really bad experiences with that kind of sites. i'd rather work with somebody who has an equity in the project, even really high, but at least he's going to be personally involved in the success of the product. unless somebody personally recommend me someone. but there is always the risk they re-sell the code.
 
So what you're saying is you want a JV with someone who can do all the work? Everyone and their brother has a fucking million dollar idea, man.
 
Where did he say "all the work"? He's looking for a coder. Not a strategist, or marketer, or writer, or designer, or funding source, .... There is more to the success of a project than just code.
 
You are going to have a hard time finding a good programmer who knows what they are doing to work for free.

Why?

They could make it and just sell it, make it and keep it, or have someone else pay them to make it.

Anyway they do it - they have food on the table.

Your way - they "MIGHT" make money later.

I'd say a bad programmer or a college kids your only option unless you pay for time spent (like an employee) and offered a share of the site for maintenence down the road. Pay to prove yourself and things will usually go better for you.
 
i know, that's why i'm saving money so i can afford just to pay them in the future to get the job done. better for me and better for them.

of course i'm pretty sure there are also a lot of good coders who maybe has a little bit of free time that they want to invest in something that might become big.

you know, with 5 bucks you can buy a burger or you can buy a lottery ticket and buying all the lobsters you want... but at least in this "lottery" there are more skills involved beside just being lucky
 
post up exactly what it is, and lots of bods on here will knock up versions for you, including the 'really cool feature that the actual softwares aren't capable of'. You can then take your pick of the efforts and make a million. Dont worry about anyone stealing your idea or ripping you off, this is WickedFart, and we don't do that Worrier Forum shit.
