I just bought an expired domain from Godaddy auctions. It's stated to have a PR5, which I believe is legit because the domain is around 12 years old and has a lot of backlinks. Now, I'm not really sure what to do with this domain. It seems that it used to be an adult oriented site.

I'm kind of wondering if I can turn it into a mainstream site and still have the benefits of the high PR and backlinks. The site actually used to be a gay porn blog lol. I'm really not interested in doing anything like that because I doubt it's profitable.

Anyone have any ideas on how to monetize this. There's got to be something I can do with it...

You sir, have come to the correct webmasters forum. Try PM'ing IceToEskimos, I hear he's pretty big in this niche.

Oh and do info:yoururl.com in google. Chances are if it shows another domain, PR is fake. I think.

lol. I really don't want to run a gay porn site of any type, besides I doubt there's much money to be made that route anyhow. I checked it in google and it indeed turns up the same domain. I'm 99.9% certain the PR is legit, like I said, the domain is around 12 years old and has cunt tons of backlinks.

So, you've got a domain that likely has backlinks that are already sending targeted traffic, but you don't want to try and do something there because you don't think that people will pay to look at other people fucking?

Am I reading this right?

I'm sure they're going to have their dicks in their hands rather than their credit cards. I just think it'd be more costly than profitable to pursue the adult route.

Niche porn. O ya no money in that.

But ya I would hate to run that, research keywords, place images etc.

I would try to save the Pagerank and make some emails to the big players. Maybe put it on Flippa. Maybe someone has some auto lander you could put there.

Yeah, because nobody makes money in online porn anymore.

Well next time check before yo buy.
Never the less it will be more profitable than mainstream. Just place some regular content on it if you don't want to deal with dicks, and sell links from it. I can tell you that there is many customers in adult niche who eager to buy stuff like this and pay double for it.

How much traffic is it getting? When was the last time there was any content on there?
