Man, I am soo sorry to hear that. Do they know how advanced it is yet? My moms was really adavanced and agressive. The doctors gave her a 30% chance to live through the first year. The Chemo and radiation alone almost killed her. I really hope your dads isnt that advanced, that they can remove all of it and he can beat it.

They don't know too much yet but he will go in for a CT-scan here in the next week or so and we'll know more. All we know is that he'd been complaining of stomach pains for a couple of months and they found two ulcers in his stomach lining two weeks ago. One of the ulcer samples now came back with the cancer result.

Very sorry to hear about your mom. I assume she was pretty much hospitalized or bed-ridden the last months of her life?
 
I'm really sorry for you, I lost my grandfather a couple of months ago for stomach cancer, but he was 94 and there was no sign that lead us to think of the cancer until a couple of months before, and it was already in a really advanced state

Great thread! After reading these replies, I had to call my mom and say "I love you" at the end of the conversation. That was a one heck of a feeling as I don't talk to often.
