"I never had a problem with my Mac before..."

... Or just never log in as a 'guest' user. It's also supposedly very very random.

Yeah, that's cool, but I would be wondering what other random shit it might do that no one has discovered yet. Point is, no computer or OS is completely fail safe and I bet those poor people that lost everything are now thinking Windows really wasn't so bad after all.

Computers are machines and they do break down , macs even break down (look at case and battery failures) .

It's amazing to me that people can buy something such as a mac, or a bmw, a benz , or the such and think it's completely immune to breaking down.

Apparently the problem only exists with people who 'upgraded' to snow leopard with guest account previously enabled.

Meaning if you did a clean install of snow leopard (even with a time machine restore of accounts), the issue doesn't exist.

People should be doing a clean install of any major OS upgrade anyways.

do clean install save bookmarks and all that...loose the porn..., watch for alot of keyboard failures on mbp in the past sev years...if u buy a used one thats still "newer" like 2,4 core duo and up....check and see what they have replaced, and check with mac
