I run an affiliate program, what am i doing wrong??

I own a hosting site and we offer the following to our affiliates, but i have only gotten about 50 sign ups in the past month and only a few are reffering customers. Can someone let me know what i need to work on? here are the specifics...

40% Fixed Affiliate Earnings

$1 Sign Up Bonus

the problem is you run a hosting company and there are about 234980234809234 hosting affiliate programs out there and yours isnt even close to the best

The offer is no good. And as Nickycakesthegreat said, you are selling hosting.

For the record, 50 signups in month 1 to a random affiliate program is pretty good. Most affiliate programs have around 5-10% active affiliates. If you can produce guys who make sales every day/week over 10% then I am looking to hire you as a rep.

for example, your MOST EXPENSIVE package is $4/month, which means about $20 per year if someone gets that package and stays on for a year. hostgator gives...$100 per signup regardless of the package? yeah....good luck with that.
