I think Azoogle is about to screw me.. Please advise

Do you still have the e-mail that your am told you to bid on the trademarked words? If so send that to the owner of azoogle and say wtf?

And personally, I'm not sure how much more you want to say in a public forum in the event that you do decide to pursue this in court.
 
I think you guys are putting too much trust in your AMs. As "super affiliates" we usually know more about this business than they do. And we are always responsible for our own actions. They aren't there to hand hold affiliates. Like I said before if you are spending thousands a day to promote an offer, spending 10 minutes to read through the terms is well worth it.

Aw crap.... ok, before my ears turn any redder, let me apologize and clarify what I said. I didn't mean to imply that CJ was any good, just that they generally tell you *something* about what you can and can't do. They have a popup especially for terms, in which they say if you can use ppc, what keywords you can't use, etc. They might screw you over anyway, I'm just saying at least they tell you the supposed terms (regardless of whether they stick to them)! I'm looking on copeac, and while there are a few offers that say things like "no search", most of them don't go into any more detail than whether they can be incentivized or not. Same goes for azoogle. So before anyone else jumps down my throat, don't think I was trumpteting cj. That's why I said "at least".

In summary: Affiliate networks - please give us more detail on the terms!

Well, that's why I prefer affiliate networks over the CJ style firms. Aff networks are either an IM or phone call away, and 9 times out of 10 will respond to your email by the next day (if you send it after business hours). If you have more questions than what's already there, ask.
 
Try and work it out with your AM if that doesn't work have an atty send letter to both. They don't have a leg to stand on for the non-violation words. Judge would ask if they got the leads and they'd have to say yes. They'd lose and they know it. I had to work this angle with an affiliate on CJ to get paid. It's a hassle but don't let them think they can walk on you.

Thanks for the advice. I think we all want to resolve this without court but you are right
 
I don't know if he is right or not. It is much more complicated than that, as the terms of use could be considered a contract, and if you break the contract you could potentially not get paid. I don't know what terms they had protected nor for what reason, but they could likely demonstrate that your bidding on those words HURT their business. So Smaxor's assessment that it would be so easy to take care of in court is probably not accurate.

That being said you are right, the best solution is to work it out amicably between all interested parties. Hope it works out for you.
 
If your really doing over $50k a month then you should be speaking to Joe/Alex immediately. I like Jon would like to stay neutral on this topic as I deal with Azoogle on a daily basis and have so far had absolutely no problems. I will throw this out there though, of all the companies in the CPA industry, Azoogle is probably the most likely to guarantee your payment.

Yeah, that's also what I thought, try to speak with Joe or Alex and see if you can resolve this issue with them somehow!
 
Heh Guys, thanks for all the support. Unfortunately all this drama isn’t anything more than a simple miscommunication. AzoogleAds only withholds entire payments when there is a clear case of fraud or other tactics that cause severe harm to our advertisers. Obviously this was not the case.


I’m sure ThreeJuice will post shortly and explain everything.
