What is the best way to add an Affiliate software to a custom built site.

Do I hire a developer to build an affiliate software from scratch?
or
Do is there a better/cheaper/more efficient way?
 


Depending on the network it can be very simple to install affiliate software. Which Affiliate site in particular are you trying to use; if it's something I've used before I could help guide you as to where to place the code in your site; free of charge of course :)

i use php affiliate pro, it is cheap, clean and there is a great support forum
covers all my needs and i can customize it
 
Seeing as the thread is 5 months old and was just bumped, what was the outcome OP? There's quite a number of ready to go solutions depending on your budget. What's your product(s)?
 
I use iDevAffiliate. Has some limitations, but a one time fee, and sufficient for my needs. Tried linktrust for a while, but the ongoing monthly just wasn't worth it for my scale
