I have talked to 4 different affiliate reps at 4 seperate networks (azoogle, hydra, xy7, and copeac), and I found out that True.com has a little scrubbing problem. Basically at the end of the month they might say, hey, we don't like these, we aren't going to pay you.

There is no problem with an advertiser auditing leads to weed out bogus ones. There is a problem when they do it at the end of the month and you have no clue what you are really making. One rep told me they scrubbed 50% of the leads an affiliate who had otherwise sent the network great traffic.

I promoted True lightly last month, but very heavily this month; and now I just found out about this issue a few days ago. I was told this morning that one of the networks will not even be picking up the True.com offer because this is such a problem.

Bottom line, don't spend more promoting True than you can afford to lose. Unfortunately I've spent about $5,000 for them this month :action-smiley-052:

That really sucks. If they are going to have such poor practices and are not capable of managing their leads in a more timely manner, then they should be responsible for fully disclosing this. I also think the affiliate networks have to take some responsibility here, as they should due enough due dilligence to make this aware to affiliates in advance.

Would like to know when it shakes out what percentage of the leads they take back from you.

I wish I'd have read this two months ago... They seem to have stepped things up. I've been promoting True for a long time, always made an effort to send quality leads, and lately the back end shaving has become obscenely blatant (like my CR dropped by 60% over one day and stayed that way for 3 weeks).

wow, I was about to do the azoogle thing I had already made the pages and was putting together my keywords. thanks for saving me the headache

Ugh. This might explain why I got NOTHING when I did the True free trial offer on azoogle. hundreds of impressions and not a dollar made. luckily i didn't spend a fortune for that traffic. It might have been really bad quality too because i was using a 3rd tier search.

Hi guys,

We've had True.com on our network for a very long time, and while it is true that True.com conversions are slightly lower than they used to be before (as usual with offers that have been around for a while - True.com has 8 million members, and they don't pay for duplicates), we don't see a major "scrubbing" problem existing as we had seen with other offers in the past. We very often test offers on our network to ensure that they are tracking correctly, and True.com has been consistent for the past while.

Additionally, unless there is some sort of fraudulent activity on your account, you will get paid what our system reports. Even if True.com decides to charge back a portion of the leads at the end of the month, Azoogle is still responsible for paying what our system reported, so you should have no worries about being adjusted at the end of the month due to quality. Unless you are doing something blatantly illegal or deceptive, you should not have any problems.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Best of luck.
Alex

Just another reason why azoogle is the best company out there.

Could be the best if they had more financial offers. ;)

Hmmm Interesting b/c we took True.com for awhile through you guys a few months back and we didnt get paid what your system reported so we had to pull the offer because of end of month scrubbing by True. You guys did do a make good for us which was appreciated but it did not cover our cost to our affiliates who we paid in full.....As another network, we understand that things happen that are beyond your control, but i just want these pubs to know the real deal before they shell out their $$ on traffic.

I used to promote true.com a bit and things were on the up and up until one day it just stopped. The exact same traffic which converted extremely well.. 1 more conversion from about 1 thousand click throughs with traffic that was converting at about 35% :~(

Danielle,

Firstly, we have never held on to payment, unless there was fraud committed by an affiliate. If your payment was held up, that measn you had fraudulent affiliates within your "network"

Secondly, thread crapping is really not appropriate, especially when its one network badmouthing another one. You seem to search out any thread discussing Azoogle and find a way to spam your way into that post. I would strongly urge you to find another way to advertise for your business and stop acting like a 12yr old.

Thirdly, your signature is too small, could you please make it a little bigger so it fills up both of my monitors?

Sorry, I'm just being an ass, I find your posts very humorous.

Thank you.
Alex

Alex,

This just happened to catch my eye so i thought i would comment, I made a point of saying in my post that as another network i understood and that it was scrubbing issues with True.com not Azoogle issues. Also responding with true statements just because you disagree is not thread crapping.

Also you commenting on what went on b/t our account and our rep at Azoogle is inappropriate as you have no knowledge of what occurred, as it had nothing to do with fraud and everything to do with True.com scrubbing.Everything i've stated is true and even though WF rocks and lets ppl trash talk, I'm a professional and wont respond to your remarks.

Thanks
D
