I got a similar one from Zazz yesterday.
Difference is that mine has a small IR beam, and a receiver, on it so you can have air battles with other people that have one as well. Hit them in the receiver, and their copter goes down.

I'm going to a mates and getting drunk this weekend, so I'll try to get a video of the things in action for you guys if you like.

Yes please. Air battle. I will have to upgrade after I get my controls down. Im good enough to land it on my ceiling fan now. All by bodies got a kick out of it so far. But laser air battle will be freaking sweet.

Damn, I think I'm hooked. Don't have ceiling fans, but... maybe I can land on my neighbor's balcony.

Haha, that's so weird. I actually worked for them for a weekend years ago. I flew them around a Toys R' Us parking lot to attract attention then told people about them. I was actually talking to someone about it today.

I know some guy in the mall who has like 3 booths witj people selling this shit and he hustles it like crazy every year during the holiday season.

those are a blast. I have a set at theoffice we always play with and I used to have a set at my house until I got curious and climbed up on the roof and tried to see how high they can fly. Turns out VERY high as long as you point the IR directly at it. :)

Yeah, I had one of those.. then my dog decided it wasn't cool and ripped it to many many pieces..

I flew one of my mate's. I managed to collide with myself (I flew the helicopter into myself, yes) and then it smashed to the ground and its tale broke. Was a cheap thing, though.

Yeah, they're cool until they inevitably break.

Once you guys get the hang out these check out some bigger planes.

I've been building and flying them for about 3 years. It's loads of fun.

It's easy to blow a lot of money on it though. I've spent around $15k total. I almost regret it. But I don't.

You can get beginner models with the radio, etc, nearly all assembled, for around $200.

Last year me and my cousin got addicted to them. We broke the first, so we ended up buying around 10. The hobby was beginning to prove too costly, so we got back to chasing the cat with his R/C buggy.
