The wife and I are staying at the Michelangelo for a few nights, starting on the 27th and leaving on the 31st.

If anyone is going to be in New York during that time and wants to go to dinner or something else write-offable, let me know.

I prefer that you be clean and unarmed.

We're going to be flying into New Jersey and catching a taxi or whatever else my wife has arranged.

The problem is that we've never been to New York. Any suggestions on what to do/what not to do? Letterman's out, which is too bad because we really wanted to see him.

Anything worthwhile for two 30-year-olds who have left their kids behind in Omaha? Any must-eat restaurants within a decent distance?

China Grill provides a globe-spanning culinary adventure in a spectacular setting. While Asian flavors and techniques are an influence, the menu is labeled as “world cuisine” with virtually every dish being prepared on either grills or in woks using ingredients gathered from pantries around the globe.

Foods here is really superb!

The Sky Scraper Museum in Battery Park is pretty cool, out of the ordinary. Other than that, checkout the new Yankee Stadium!! Opening day is 31st i think.

I personally love Jane - Houston and I wanna say Thompson. Modern American. A little on the pricier side but the food is worth it.

Went to Ruth's Chris steakhouse tonight, mostly because it's right next to the hotel we're staying at. Very, VERY good steak. I had the ribeye, wife had the filet. Bread was great. Didn't like the cheesecake (it was made with a bit of sour cream?) but the Sin Chocolate cake was kickass.

Would go again if we returned to NY.

Overall we've been very impressed with NY. The Empire State Building was cool, but if you go you absolutely MUST pick up the express ticket - it's like 20 bucks more or something. You get to bypass all the lines, which saved us like an hour. Totally worth it.

The Rockefeller Tower (Top of the Rock) was a better view than the ESB.

Central park was very cool, I would imagine it would be spectacular during the spring when the trees actually had some foliage.

We're going to hit up the Museum of Modern art and see "Wicked" on Sunday. I'm going to find a strip club tomorrow while my wife's out taking her teacher's test and bang myself a hooker.

You sure you want to do that last part?
