"Intel CEO Paul Otellini was critical of short-term projects funded by stimulus, saying that "swimming pools in Mississippi are not going to create lasting jobs."

Intel CEO Otellini critical of White House's economic plans - Sep. 14, 2010

Interesting stuff. I wish more CEO's of huge companies would get publicly involved in economic politics (instead of just feeding corporate special interest money to asshole congressmen like they do now)

Intel just had a record quarter in a shaky financial market. Maybe people should listen to him.

And usually Q2 is a little off for most industries. They are ballin.

Yeah, and that's my point. It would be great if people with actual, real-world business experience were helping to run the show.

On that chart the democrats are always the lowest for the last 50 years. Just saying.

Otellini also said that a major problem for companies is that they are being held back by high corporate tax rates.

Shocking that a top executive of a major corporation would think tax rates are too high. Lets not forget that huge corporations do shady stuff all the time that may end up hurting the economy overall (example: the housing bubble). Should huge corporations be able to grow exponentially? Is that really the solution?

I'm sorry, did you just blame corporations for the housing bubble? Really?

Where's the chart where you show how bush created fewer jobs than virtually any president in history - with his private sector appointees?

Where's the chart where you show that Warren Buffet is one of O's principle advisors on financial industry matters? Yes, Warren Buffet the idiot socialist that he is! lol...

Where's the chart where you show the center-right Bush appointees Obama kept on his team?

I love it how irrational disdain drives people to always see what they want to see, lol

I also want to see the chart that points out the Bush estimate for the war in Iraq was "no more than 50 billion". Remember when the White House fired an economist who dared to say the war might cost $100 billion?

Turns out Bush's estimate was just about $1,950,000,000,000 short.

Take two TRILLION dollars out of any economy and watch what happens - especially when you do it with borrowed money.
