Hi guys,

When trying to scope out competition which elements of SeoQuake should you pay most attention to?

For example, is backlinks to the specific page found in the SERPs more important that the total links to the domain?

That's how I'm assuming it is, or else other sites would have a hell of a time competing with single about.com pages, or specific hubpages etc.

Is this correct? Any other advice regarding scoping out competition?

Use SEO for FIrefox, not SEOQuake

You should be looking at links to the domain, as well as links to the page.

But which is the first one you would look at when inspecting competition? If each site of the first page of the SERPS has a high amount of links pointing to the domain, but sub-50 to the page, are those sites less likely to out-compete a site with more links to a specific page targeting the keyword than the others?

Thanks for the link.
