IPhone Hacked to work on other network

A 17 year old kid, George Hotz, has hacked the Apple Iphone and now it has the capacity to work on other networks. Apple shares are going up, while ATT is pissed and shares have fallen.

I saw him on CNBC news a few minutes ago.

Its called a simple unlock code in which are placed upon all phones you buy, the companies will charge you a ton of money for these codes because your changing carriers and they don't want that, they want to force you into using the carriers that earn them cash.

Its been done on every phone known to man almost since they came out so to me its no big surprise it happened to the IPhone, trust me it will continue to happen with every other phone created until they figure out a more secure system.

The difference with the Iphone is that the carriers have to pay apple a cut of each persons bill which means problems should they ever issue a cross network database like we have in the UK which could result in handset blocking.

I know that the new Iphone we are getting will be available on 3 different networks and even then apple will get a 10% revenue share.
