Yeah that's not the only metric. I can make a page that gets 70% click thru pretty easily but the goal of the lander is to pre-sell the user on the product. Butter them up and tell them how it changed your life or why it's so great vs. the other products in the marketplace. If they click thru the abandon that's junk. So you're two metrics you want to look at are click thru on the lander then conversion on the offer page. Some of our best landers only have 12% click thru but then 30-40% of the people buy because the copy is so well crafted.
Any time you're looking at metrics make sure you take all the important ones into account. It's like looking at payout only, when conversion % and payout combined is the real number you care about. Payout alone means nothing if it doesn't convert.
