Is anyone of you building a list?

What niches did you try? Was every email you sent an email trying to sell something? Build trust first - then sell.

I would usually do 3 emails with good content, then hit them with the hard sell on the 4th. Ive also tried making newsletters with just content, and then having related offers down the right hand margins.

Ive done pretty much all the major niches. wieght loss, dating, etc.
 
Another rec for Mailchimp. They have plugins for Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal and a bunch of shopping carts that enable you to do some interesting things.

List is one of the most important asset in Online Business & Offline Business. They are your customers & potential customers.

With a list, by giving them real values & providing them good products, sure you will make decent profits.

Email to nurture them, values first, money follows.
 
Building a list is the BEST way to be able to control your profits. When things are slow, you can run a special to your list. When you want to earn more, find a product your list might also be interested in and tell them about it (using your affiliate link, of course).

On soft sell/hard sell tactics like this, what time span would you typically stretch your 4 emails out over? Would you wait longer to send the hard sell 4th email after the 3rd email? Would sending them daily (over 4 day period) be too quick?

Subscribe to John Alanis' list and your worries of "too quick" may be eliminated. He mails at least once a day and sometimes twice a day, and has for years.
 
Building a good list takes time. You can speed up the process by advertising in targeted ezines . Having a system that builds multiple income streams while building your list is essential for long term income. You won't need very many
