Is my Prosper202 Hacked?!

Sorry to start another thread but figured more people would see this.


I have the latest version of prosper202.



I was looking in my spy view at filtered out clicks. & I noticed a ton of clicks from 174.37.52.38, thinking it was someone just clicking my ad over and over, I excluded the IP from adwords.

But it didn't stop.

The referrer is blank so I don't know if they are some how even clicking my ad? the keywords look legit all different for every time they show up in spy view.

Please I had to pause my campaign cause I was worried about this if anyone has any idea what this is please reply asap.

Oh really? WTF man... I hope so. I even have adwords paused and it still keeps coming. Is there anyway to stop this IP?

You could stop it via .htaccess . Add this to your htaccess file and you should be ok :

<Limit GET HEAD POST>
order allow,deny
deny from 174.37.52.38
allow from all
</LIMIT>
 
put it in your lp domain and the bot can't see your lp . Put it on both and the bot wont be able even to "click" the ad. So , to be sure put it on both domains

Also how do I do the .htaccess file, just name a file .htaccess and put that above code in it and upload it to the root?

And could that bot or whatever it is be the reason why my conversions completely stopped, or that has nothing to do with it?
 
Any updates on Chad? What ever happened as a result of all those previous Prosper hacking attempts?
 
I uploaded the htaccess.txt file then renamed it .htaccess on one of my hosting accounts it was fine, the other when i refresh it just disappears. Whats up with that? is it still there I just cant see it? Thanks.

check "show invisible files" and you'll see it.

You're not getting charged for those clicks, or shouldn't be.
The unique thing about Google is that it leaks the url you're getting redirected to without going through their redirect. So any scrapers don't have to charge you.

Edit: Oh yeah. It's not really owned by any Chad. I was just messin.

Got a ton of hits from the same IP. I just blocked it with .htaccess. Thieves everywhere man...
 
Prolly some bot scraping you to find out all the offers you run. With some coding you can find all the links in a persons prosper.

Nope. The data from that scraper gets put into one of those PPC-Bully style services
He has 16 servers scraping(none of them very fast though) and a slightly more complex internal version.
It's cool, doesn't look that advanced though.
