Is there a solid Pay What You Want Service?

Hello Wickedfire,

I'm launching a small product next week using youtube to direct traffic to a landing page with a download of a .pdf printout which is what the youtube video I'm making is all about. I want a Pay what you want splash-page to display before a customer will be allowed to download. I'm stuck looking for a solid service that can use a Pay What You Want model.

The page Akimset uses is a good example, though I couldn't trace the service.

Do any of you know a good service for this?

So you want a splash page where the customer can pay a specific amount or they pick an amount - and then be granted a download link? Not sure exactly which route you want to go from your description..
 
That's right,

I'm making a youtube video on a common interest product with a link to a template in the description with a strong call to action in the video. The link leads to my landing page with a pay what you want option that defaults to $1 with options for $5, $2, $1, and Free. Should I use one of the paid e-commerce sites like stripe or shopify or is could I get zendesk to work?

If I understand it correctly, why not just make a paypal button with several amounts in consistent increments?

i.e. $1, $2, $3, $4, $5 etc.

An average user can't pay via bitcoin. It is time consuming and hard to acquire bitcoins (for the average person) and you need to establish a lot of trust to get someone to transact with btc with you
 
Don't do name your price

A lot of people are advertising cheap content writing. Study other people's rates and get close to their pricing, otherwise you are losing potential income on quality product.:xomunch:

There are lot of websites which allow users to download after paying .... I would say you to Google search for better results on your needs....!
