Job interview with Google in an hour...

I've got a job interview with google for a marketing position in about an hour...
Anyone got any quick tips i could use?

I'm from this magical place called europe, where the sun is shining already. And its a telephone interview.

Should be alright, I think im good at interviews, just couldnt do anything with myself so i thought id post here :D
 
Here's some advice..

Go back to bed. Jobs at Google are not what you think they are. If you make it passed round 1, get ready for 12 more rounds of interviews and tests to take. Then if you actually land the job, your pay will be nothing great. The only good thing you may get out of it is some Google gear and maybe a reference on your resume. Big woop.

I would be working in one of the new markets where google has only just opened up an office. Which means very good opportunities to shine. It's a marketing position so its a lot more interesting than programming I recon.

Also, bad pay plus stock options is not so bad. At least thats what I hear.

Also, its only a temporary contract, so I wouldnt be tied down for that long. I still have my own business to run :D
 
Been there, done that.

Be nice and on your toes. This will only be the 1st in a series of telephone interviews, so be prepared for that.

Also, Google sometimes pays SHIT all, if you're not a developer.

atleast google was voted as the best company to work for. then again this was for their headquarters. not sure how it's like in europe.
 
waste 8 hours a day (at least) in an office just so you can network? i think there are more effective ways. also, networking is overrated

Yes, I suppose it does for some. After leaving my job last year I can say it was the best thing I have ever done. Now, I wouldn't take a corporate job for anything.
 
Depending on who his contacts are at google, there is some potential knowledge transfer there that would be pure gold to most on this forum.
