Just for the Record: Clicky Sucks when you need Reliability

I've recommended Clicky several time wholeheartedly on this forum, but my mind has changed now about this company. Several times in the past there were long down times, those didn't effect me directly back then, but now today it was critical for me to have real time reporting which they advertise they deliver, but it wasn't, there was like 1 hour delay.

And from my experience I'm guessing this isn't an isolated occurrence either. It probably happens more often, it's just that I noticed it now since I really needed it and was monitoring it.

Their support sucks also, "your friendly clicky admin" sometimes completely ignores support requests/questions you post on the forum and if you're lucky enough to get a reply you will probably only get one. There were several times where I posted follow up questions to answers I got which were then completely ignored.

That said I really like their system for tracking content websites, but for critical reporting, reliability and support this company sucks.

Signing up for reinvigorate now to give that a try...

When I get leads via email I sometimes hop over to Clicky to see where the conversion came from. Sometimes the conversion data is there, and other times I have to wait from a few minutes to about an hour.

I don't use it for the real-time stuff, so I never complained as it's not a big deal to me.

Yeah, I'm not saying the company sucks completely, their system is very good, the best analytic reporting imo. I just get annoyed sometimes by their support being unresponsive ,and they react unprofessionally to problems before. If you use it for non-critical stuff no problem - I still happily use it for content sites.

I started using Clicky on a couple of sites about 4 months go. Everything going well with just the occasional lag in real time which was never a priority to me. However over the holidays on two different occasions (that I'm aware of) visits never showed at all. Have to wonder how much data in total is not being received. The lag I can live with, missing too many visits altogether is a deal killer.

This is disappointing because I really like the interface and GA could take a lesson or two from them.

^ I've never seen anything like that. How sure are you it's Clicky and not something failing on your website? Worth looking into.

YOU do REALIZE that the support forum is not actively monitored by the clicky support people? They tell you to email them instead.

Definitely looking into. Mainly because I've grown attached but has now become a trust issue until resolved.

Server logs show usual traffic volume, Clicky shows zero traffic for 1-3 hour gaps during same time period. I do not have any "do not log" ip or events setup or what ever it's called in the Clicky dashboard. I have made no changes to the on page Clicky js.

Beyond the raw server logs I have installed GA on one of the sites for further comparison. Which is unfortunate because a main reason for Clicky on some sites was do without GA. The big brother feel is getting too real.

Hoping it is something on my end. Was about to push Clicky to all domains.
