Hey. I know that you're supposed to have 2% KW density in your articles. For my KW, it's five words: "how to blah blah blah". If I remove the "how to" and just enter the "blah blah blah" in my articles to get around 2%, will that still be effective in trying to rank for "how to blah blah blah"? I can't include the 5 words because it's too long and the "how to" will mess up my article making it sound stupid if I include it too many times. Thanks.

It will be effective in trying to rank for blah blah blah. Which is fine because you should be diversifying your anchor text anyway. If you can rank for blah blah blah, it will also help you rank for how to blah blah blah as long as you use that exact anchor (how to blah blah blah) when you build other links. And I don't know if that even made one bit of sense now that I read it back.
thxAlso... if I'm trying to rank my homepage for a KW, the entire page of content should have around 2% KW density. Most wordpress homepages does not include the full article length (mines included), just a few paragraphs, then says "More . . .". I'm wondering if ONLY the content that's being displayed in the homepage is the content that matters when trying to rank your homepage, and not the full article that's not being shown. What I said is probably confusing as hell but I don't know how to word it any better.
Dont worry to much about density. Its largely voodoo. Just remember to use your keyword a few times. Stick it in the header, tail and tags and lifes fine.
Exactly. Just make sure that your keyword is placed in the title, once in the first para and just 2-3 times more in the article.
Just make sure that they read or blend well with the content. The density of 2% is just a yard stick as many sites like ezine and isnare follow these deadlines for the keyword density.
Just write naturally and make sure its included in your article a few times like the others have said, thats all.
