I don't know, but I wouldn't buy one. If I have to pack my laptop around anyway, throwing the charger into the carrying case isn't exactly a big deal. My charger is already quite small as is, and I'm not going to get excited if it shrinks in size by 60%. I'm still packing the laptop case around, and I'm not going to notice it's a whopping 6oz lighter.
 
I don't see the appeal. My existing charger isn't much bigger, and is light enough not to matter. Plus it's 90W and doesn't have a pointless USB charger hanging off it for no reason.

I charge my phone(s) directly off my laptop while I'm traveling anyway. They invented standby USB charging so I don't even need the laptop turned on.

Now if only they had Qi charging for my laptop...
 
Was going to make a funny about this being a terrible idea because these two aren't going to be buying it, but why bother...
 
Peeps like HP and Sony don't make adapters, they make dumbbells with an adapter. For those who have these (which i'm guessing is a LOT of people), this is a dream come true.

That being said, i wouldn't trade my Mac adapter for that shit.

now that's funny, I do agree to that looking at my Dell XPS charger. It's just too heavy to be carried.

So I guess you think this is a splendid idea, and there's enough demand out there for it?

My Dell charger is about 6x2x1 inches, and weighs... no idea, but not enough to worry about. I'm assuming most chargers are about the same. So people are supposed to rush out to the mall, and drop $120 on a smaller charger, which is 3rd party and isn't supplied by the manufacturer of their laptop? Not likely.

I guess they could maybe license it to Dell or HP or something...

Was about to say similar. I have a Dell notebook which is really thin & light. The charger for it is also really thin and light too (sounds like the same charger judging on dimensions). Absolutely no problem carrying it around, specially since I've already saved a massive amount on weight with the notebook.
 
Unnecessary for people will macbooks, but definitely something for people with lenovos. Those fuckers are pointlessly huge and a pain in the ass to wrap/unwrap every time.

One concern is the slack on the cable connecting to the charger. It seems quite thin so I'd be a bit worried about it wearing out like my macbook charger.
 
It's only 65 watts so it won't support laptop + phone charging.

Actually it won't even power the laptop I used.

Furthermore I already have one of these from enercell and its 90 watts.

Furthermore more you could have this shit made in china for $5 at any factory

Way better than the 360's power adapter that's almost the size of a 360 and can serve as a frying pan. I would buy one if I wasn't so cheap and if my current adapters still work fine. I see the appeal however.

Well the 360's aftermarket adapaters are all shit, and the original doesn't even support multiple voltage inputs. Plus the original seems to be voltage sensitive and I've blown a few up.

I haven't looked at the One's adapater, but if it's anything like the 360, I'd fully support a decent aftermarket alternative.
 
FINsix is making a limited supply of Darts available for the MacBook on Kickstarter. The Dart works with all MacBooks 65W and under. To offer these units we have to buy an off-the-shelf Apple adapter to get the connector. This approach is expensive, so the Dart for MacBook costs $79 more than a standard Dart. LOL Apple makes them buy a normal adapter, then they have to cut off the mag connector and use it on their product. Ah of the joys of legally producing a product. You know they could just buy them in bulk from China.

The cord end always breaks on my charger.

Until someone fixes that part, I don't care.

Then again, I would prob never have to buy another charger...

Not profitable.

Guerrilla turned me on to some Lean Startup shit, and i haven't looked back since.

It's all about that initial problem/solution fit. Any other route is needlessly gambling with time and money.
 
Too bad laptops have these things called power ratings, and if you don't match the power rating you can damage your battery. Not to mention that charging my 90 watt laptop with that 60 watt rating will take hours longer to charge.

Also there is this thing called leverage, and if someone bumps into it while it's in the wall those prongs will break off.
