I skipped every comment that's already been made, so please excuse if this has already been said:
Roy Nelson fought like a bitch. I know, a win is a win, no doubt, but he basically laid on Kimbo in the crucifix position and because of his big-ass Double Whopper belly, Kimbo couldn't get him off.
Now, some people will say that Kimbo should have learned/been able to get him off him, but we all know that his ground game is garbage still. He's working on it, though, and Dana White wasn't impressed at all with Nelson's performance.
Kimbo outstriked Nelson on the feet in both the 1st and 2nd round -- in both instances forcing Nelson to take him down or get knocked out. It's up for debate, but I think he had Nelson dazed in the 2nd. The takedown that Nelson got in the 2nd basically looked like he clinched with Kimbo last resort and luckily caught him off balance and scored the takedown.
After the fight Nelson went over to Dana White and Frank (or was it Lorenzo -- mighta been Lorenzo actually) Fertitta and said, "Gimmie a Double Whopper w/ cheese. The king can have it his way" or something just corny to that effect. Dana was like (paraphrased), "Is this guy serious? He barely squeaked out a win and he thinks he's the man?". Dana also commented on Nelson's first crucifix that he caught Kimbo in in the first by saying that the strikes he was throwing to Kimbo's head were like the ones "his daughter throws at me when we're play-wrestling" or something. I don't know anyone that actually practices MMA that I know that was impressed with Nelson's performance. On the flip side, the majority of these people were impressed with Kimbo's performance. If he can learn a decent ground game, the dude is gonna be dangerous. He's already rumored to be on the TUF10 Finale card and Dana White has gone on record to say that he has a place in the UFC if he can get his shit together on the ground.
Also, Rashad Evans said in an interview either yesterday or the day before yesterday that he wants Kimbo to come train with him at Greg Jackson's gym in New Mexico.
Also, per Lorenzo Fertitta: ""We've been very impressed with Kimbo's performance (...)"
