KW domain with 1 million exact phrase searches

Long time lurker and relatively new to AM.

I have a KW domain name which according to Adword has had in the past 2 months 1.1 million exact term searches. I got excited when I found out that not only was the domain name available for the term, the commission was high and the competition for the phrase was really poor. So I ran a test campaign on Adword (top bid #1) for the exact term match and the impressions so far is around 2k!! (it's not a Christmas or gift related KW phrase)

I also found another term which got tons of traffic for the exact match but again the adword test campaign shows that it is not worth developing.

Is the Goolge keyword fucked, is it my adword account or am I sitting on top of a gold mine contemplating my navel?

PS: in all honesty, you can't ask such a blatantly vague question and expect any sort of helpful answer. I understand you don't want to disclose your little secret but that's like saying, "I am holding something in my hand that I think might be valuable, should I keep it or sell it?"
 
lol - thanks for that, I suppose I should be a little more clear.

I am not asking should I develop it - I was looking for other similar experiences and perhaps a suggestion as to whether I am making a mistake in adword. I don't think I have made any mistakes, such as location but I am new.

Does anyone else have similar experiences of Google Keyword being way off the mark?
 
Sometimes the Google keyword tool will fuck you over with things like competitiveness analysis, and also longtail searches from specific areas can be quite generic and more often than not bundled together, so say Sri Lanka, might have the same amount of searches as Germany.

Most of the data is correct, but if it is a relatively new keyword being searched the data is not at all accurate - just my experience.
 
err... taking it will only take you a few hours to develop a niche site... why not just go for it?
