Hi All,

Still a newb but learning fast. I am looking for some resources on how to build and manage landing pages. Thanks for all the support
 


I hate to sound mean but I created my first website when I was 10 (12 years ago) and I learned how to do it on my own, very quickly. If you takes you more then 60 seconds to find some decent tutorials, guides, and information related to simple HTML and create webpages you might want to consider a non-internet hobby.

Now on my nicer side, find yourself a CMS like Wordpress or Drupal. They make it too easy to create sites. Use a WYSIWYG editor and draw up some simple pages..

Thanks for the note. Clearly I know HTML, I was more looking for strategy points and design specs.

CashTactics and Nickycakes have written some landing page tutorials. Check out some of the actual LPs running on Google and Yahoo for ideas. Use common sense. And test...

This also seems to come up about 1 / 15 threads so look around here
 
Just hire a designer from the Buy Sell or Trade section to build some landing pages for you until you get the hang of things. They are like $50 a pop, and they will be better than you can make yourself in the beginning.
 
I don't know why people have so much trouble with this...it's really easy. I find the design creativity to be fun too. Just learn some basic CSS. You really don't even know how to do any real graphic editing - though it helps. That's easy too though.
 
I am already past the swinging dicks thankfully. My main concern is that the landing page will create bounce that I dont get from direct linking. Any thoughts there
