Just got an email with the sad news that Bofu passed away unexpectedly :(

RIP buddy and thanks for everything! I promise to put the money to good use...

Umm... You can see how seeing this title might not be funny and confusing if you know him IRL. People might think he is really dead if emotions get the best of them.

I just jumped out of bed cause of that title.

Yeah I can also get pretty emotional when I inherit $20mil.

You didn't make clear in the OP that he wasn't dead so this really wasn't funny IMO...

Glad you're well Rob...

You're right. The worn out email spammer from Africa headline and the picture of the boat really left me wondering as to the status of the real Bofu. Glad to hear everything is alright.

No, I can't really.

The absurdity of the headline didn't give away the obvious? Sorry for misleading you to believe our Bofu died and left me 20 mil. What's your email address?

I certainly didn't mean to cause y'all emotional distress. My sincere apologies!

I don't want to get into a huge debate about this. I simply saw "The Late Mr. Robert Adler" and really didn't register anything else after that. It's like if someone sent me an email stating My "Mother's Fullname" passed away and left me 100MM, I wouldn't register that 100MM part, I'd only think about the passing away part and whether it's true since it was from an email from a person I know. It's that initial shock. Now if it said she got into an accident or something less severe than death, my brain will probably registered the rest of the email and title, and state "this is a spam/scam email" and completely disregard it.
