I'm looking for recommendations as to what books to read to get better at writing sales copy. I'm two seconds away from having someone else write some copy for me but I have the urge to write it myself, and I want it to be good. +Rep for audiobooks/rapidshare links sirs.

The Gary Halbert Letter is the best place for you to start. Specifically on this letter which is about how to start writing serviceable sales copy in 30 days.

Cashvertising - it's epic.

I second this. I just purchased this book two days ago after reading about it in another thread, just got it today and am almost 12 way through. Like the man, so really epic stuff...yet it is the kind of stuff that you would think should be common sense but gets completely over looked.
