I donated $500 to the Relay For Life in my town this year. My mom has/had breast cancer that spread and turned into Stage IV terminal cancer of the liver, lungs, and lymph nodes. They did a full mastectomy and put her on a rigorous chemotherapy of Abraxane and Avastin, and then after several months switched her to a new treatment that included some pill chemo that ended up burning her hands from the inside.

By some miracle she was able to recover completely, and now there are no tumors or even signs that they were there. Her hair is growing back and she looks and acts just like she did last year, before the cancer.

Moral of the story: donate to the cause, let there be more boobies for you guys to look at. And hope that nobody you love EVER has to go through anything like that.
