i read a post from bluehat seo the other day about link injection as a means of short-term income. does anyone successfully use this at all? it seems craigslist would be a great place to do it, but then they have their spamming rules and 25.00 fees for job postings

You shouldn't necessarily focus on the obvious locations to drop links because that's what everyone else does and that's why they make it hard and expensive to do so.

I think what you were reading about had to to with dropping your links in the wasteland. For example, there are a large number of forums and blogs out there that people started like a year ago and never got them going, so they abandoned them, though they are still operational. Just try not to post to places that have already been hit hard by the pharma bots.

Look up a blog by a guy named silver.aden (take out the period). He has lists of dofollow blogs. Some are abandoned. That list would be a good place to start. As Jryan says, avoid those that have been hit hard by viagra and other pharma pushers.
