I've noticed being incorporated is a huge hassle, no matter where you are.
There's endless paper work just to run things like you've always done it. Technically, you need a (board of) director(s), even if it's just you, to be the fall guy in case something goes wrong, etc etc etc.
Not to mention setup fees. To do it on my own, through Victoria's or NSW's Chamber of Commerce costs $1700. For $500 extra, they'll do the hard work for me and I just have to sign some documents. There's probably a similar deal going with your local Chamber of Commerce, or whatever it's called over there.
