Looking for a team to make an eMerchant website. Something like Paypal or PayPro

Might as well come up with a new currency system too

That's preposterous, after creating a new eBay we would first need to create a new internet for it to run on. We could have unicorns carry packets between routers!

How many merchant accounts have you/do you run? If you don't know why this is relevant, lulz.

^ relevant, given OP's user title?

You is a complete dumbass, read all the information first.

I do have a phone, but I'm busy doing the day so I can't answer the phones dumbass. Think, duh duh, I'm in school.

YOU IS A COMPLETE DUMBASS.

so you want every one else to work on marketing/coding the site while you do nothing when you are at school? Nice one.

hey articuno, send me a pm if youre still looking for an investor. I can hook you up with angel investors that know the ins & outs of internet enterprenuership, a very succeful team.
Ill copy your post and email it to them if you dont mind. also send me a business plan asap.

First off, you said I couldn't code? Who said I couldn't write? Market? Or even have my own phone??

:error: I believe you is the one who thinks that.

You is a complete dumbass, read all the information first. I said I need someone who is fluent in coding. I know some coding but Im not fluent in it.

Let me break it down for you:

Whats sup WickedFiyah, how yall doing?

What are you? 13?

Well, basically, I need a team of individuals to help me out to make an eMerchant website. I have a script, a Paypal Clone one and I basically want to make a site like that and I will talk with eBay and see if I can get it was a payment website.

Why I'm making a website like this?

Well, Paypal fucked me over and put my account on hold for 180 days for some stupid transaction and I have 3 grand in it and now I can't access it. So, I have to wait, then withdraw my funds and I will never be able to use Paypal again.

So you already got the "clone"... (probably some nulled script), And I can see that going over well, going to ebay, which owns paypal, and saying hey little me with this 'clone' wants to get on your list and compete with your major offerings cuz YOU FUCKED ME OVER. :P Yea... that'll go over well.

What type of team you need?

1. Investors: I'm not asking for a lot, but I need one investor on the team, someone whos not afraid to take chances on something that could work.

Basically you either have no money, or lack such a confidence you would rather an investor risk their money rather than yours. No investor is going to want to take the risk on simply something "that could work".

2. Installer: Someone whose fluent in ajax, php, and coding so they can install the script on the website and make custom editing to it.

Normally they call this a 'developer' or 'coder' and not simply an 'installer', calling someone an installer assumes you cant pay much cuz you're just assuming all they gota do is 'install' something, since not like they're writing it. Also this implies you can't code.

3. Content Writer: This person makes the site known! This is for like updating the website on new stuff thats added and about us and contact page. I will do most of it, but a backup in case.

This is the ONLY thing you said you needed a backup for. (PS: You'd be surprised how much work technical writing actually is).

4. Marketer: Someone who can market the website so we can get traffic. I will do most of it, but as for a backup, we need one

Christ of all the things on the list, you'd think this would be the main one you could take care of.

5. Customer Service: Someone who has a phone that could be the customer service representative. Someone who has a cell phone and can answer calls and etc.

... customer support on-call even outside of the office, hope you got some really deep pockets, or someone with no life at all.

Now as for the commission everyone receive will be discussed in private PM, so if you're interested, please PM me

Thanks

Basically if the idea tanks, everyone loses but you.

I can vouch for antonio , have worked with him in the past. man is stackin more paper than 3rd world countries annual budget.

i think its a good idea. a lot of people are having similar shitty experience with paypal. its only a matter of time before people jump ship and look for an alternative. with the right marketing and quality customer service (which can easily be outsourced overseas for super cheap with amazing no-accent english speaking reps) this has amazing potential.

im definitely down to helping with this, but we need a solid business plan to get the kindof financing we will need to get this off the ground. a friend of mine has an MBA and can write amazing business plans, but he charges $500. send me the money asap and i'll get him started. he's going to be leaving for summer vacation in the hamptons next week so we have to hurry

Are you just setting up the pitch for 5 hundy below or are you being serious? Because if you're serious you're just as brain dead as the OP.

Any idiots harboring delusions that PayPal can be duplicated with some crappy script, even crappier outsourced customer service, and some marketing need to read the book "Founders at Work", Max Levchin details how PayPal got started. Don't expect anybody to take you seriously until you realize the biggest issue to deal with is fraud and have a plan to counter it.

yea, lets use lazy north americans and pay them bloated salaries when we can get just as good work for a fraction of the cost.
do you work for Chrysler?

how credible would pay pal be if they didn't make a big deal about how they got started? cmon man, use your head. if something redicioulsy successful was easy to create, do you think they'd detail it in a book? of course they'd want to make it seem much more complex

1. The company's name is PayPal.
2. The company history is independently documented.
3. The company's gigantic losses are equally well documented.

The reason why PayPal is number one is because it was the company with the most money behind it and the largest overdraft.

To the original poster, if you know how to raise billions of dollars on easy terms from someone who doesn't mind not being paid back for a decade, I'd be more than happy to join your team.

PayPal processed 16 billion dollars in transactions in the first quarter of 2009 alone, that is what makes them credible, there is no need for them to embellish the complexities of their business. And since Levchin cashed out of PayPal in '02 there is no incentive in him making it sound harder than it is.

Being too stupid to see the complexity of a problem is not the same as a lack of complexity to a problem.
