A friend of mine is looking to get a site built to sell garden tools and machinery - he has an exclusive deal with a small local manufacturer.

He's on a limited budget so we decided the best solution would be to use an open source cms with most likely a free template and some customisation.

I've played with Drupal and Joompa, and know they would both do the job well, but we are open to any suggestions in you have experience with another cms - something easy to enter new products and maintain is essential.

It's not a big job really:

1. Configure the cms.
  • About 6 or 7 fields - category, title, description, price, a couple of niche specific.
  • Set up photo gallery for each item (choose a plugin)
  • Integrate Google Checkout
  • Ensure it is optimised for the search engines
  • He would like to be able to choose which products are shown on the main page.
  • The ability to add reviews to each product would also be useful.
2. Design
  • Choose a few templates to compliment an existing logo, bearing in mind SEO.
  • After template has been decided on, integrate his and the manufacturer's logos.
3. Input approx. 20 records with 3 photos per item.

If you are interested either reply or pm me with your quote, which cms you would use and some examples of your work. If you could also please provide an hourly rate for any future modifications that would be very useful.

This might be going on scriptlance or rentacoder sometime, but I thought I'd throw it out here first.
