Making Directory Websites with Wordpress - Plug-ins, Ways, etc?

The guy over at earner's blog said he was coming out with a template but I haven't seen anything. Is there some sort of non-mess-with-php-and-coding way to make one quickly?

There's a decent link directory plugin for WP -- I've used it on a test site, but have not put it to serious use so cannot 100% vouch for it:
