Funny, I have never commented on others behavior but sounds like someone above did not handle things as graciously as warranted. You have one chance to make a first impression and you are bashing a guy who has hundreds of positive feedbacks. Not a good start.
Maybe you should apologize in the forum if the oversight was yours?
