Media buy negotiation

To anyone supporting the OP, congratulation, you managed to top him on the scale of stupid. At least he mentioned he is retarded and new to the game. All of you sheep jumping to his defense with some bullshit about starting out small, what's your excuse?

Small doesn't fucking referrer to the traffic, but budget. How far gone are you to encourage someone to run a "buy" where the available traffic can barely be sold as CPM? 1,200 views. One thousand two hundred. I could spend the next couple of hours writing it out (one, two, three, you get the point -or not, some of you definitely won't) and I will have wasted less time than the OP will on this poor excuse of a buy. Let me spell it out for the OP and any of the monkeys trying to talk nonsense into him:

You will never gather ANY useful or relevant data. At all.
You will never be able to test ANYTHING. Because, hey, no data, no visitors, nothing
Even at an amazing 2% CTR you are looking at 20 clicks. Two Zero. Catch the drift?

$2 a day. Really? Where outside of Ghana would anyone think it sounds like a good idea to spend more on your daily coffee for your caffeine induced high, than on the actual traffic itself. Any sale you get will be from webwonder or mediastar feeling bad for having been spouting BS. Hit up your mom or get $5,000 from some other source and then we are talking "small". Or listen to mediastar and his team of retarded rejects and waste your day killing brain cells or whatever it is that people like him do. Seriously. There's two sides to every story, in this case it's 'I can't believe he just asked that' and 'Is this a contest of retards?'.

A guy posts a question asking for advice on his initial approach. Some people encourage him some people get off on shitting all over his first steps into the media buy space.

The point is not the size of the buy but the thinking in his approach. Enjoy your power tripping.

You realize this is WF right? 99% of threads are half bashing and half helpful. This is what makes wickedfire awesome. Worrior Forum has 5% bashing and 95% useless shit.

Sure thing. I openly admit I'm still working hard to find my feet but I like to think anyone who is starting out is encouraged here if they are serious about growing. Not really a big deal IMO.

A forum full of ppl shouting about how great they are would suck hard and that is my definition of wafo or dp.

don't worry about the shit talking.. start small and learn what you're doing even if it's just a small exercise in negotiation.

Thanks for the input guys...

@ guysmy: good spot on Zemanova... hot piece of ass!

For the rest of the bashers... I'll say it again... yes, $75 is a fucking joke and won't get me any relevant data but that's not the point of this thread.

I'm trying to see how people approach others to replace their current ads (e.g. Adsense or other network) with your own... that's all.

As mediastar put it, "The point is not the size of the buy but the thinking in his approach"

I'm new to the wickedfire scene, but this would seem to be very good advice. I don't know this kid, but it makes sense :D How much data can really get from 20-30 clicks?

I think if your man enough to look past all the name calling and sarcasm, he is genuinely trying to save you 75 bucks :D

There is a certain amount of actionable data that could be derived from this placement...but I'm not going to get into it w/ you.

.

If you are going to bash the guy, atleast get your facts right.

2% CTR is 24 fucking clicks not 20.

Update: Guy wanted $250 for the spot (delusional!)... moving along.
Just got a reply from another site w/ ~250,000 views/month for $400.
This one looks more promising.
