I noticed a huge fall in affiliate sales the last weeks and started to investigate.

It turns out that my merchant is using their own affiliate links, taking their partners comissions.

All their AdWords ads is using affiliate links, and I even see retargeting ads, I know my website triggered, with their affiliate links in them.

So. I am confused.. I can see how they can argue that their add click led to the sale, and not my refferal. Still I find it very unethical.

So what do you think, and what can I do?

Yeah, I know. It is an option, and I started applying yesterday.

The problem is that they are kind of the "Amazon" of their niche. I also know how well they convert. Leading up to christmas and all, I wish they could just play by the rules..

Thanks!

Sadly they aren't, care to post up or PM me the company's name and some proof? Will be a nice addition on my personal list of "companies to avoid" working with

I need to be carefull here. They are still an important part of the food on my table.

Its a scandinavian company, so probably not a problem for most of you.

Affiliate lesson: Never get to reliant on one income provider..

bloody ikea, the volvo of the furniture industry

This is ridiculous to hear! But sadly there are shady merchants like this ripping off their own affiliates. They should be outed in some way to expose them and put a stop to this nonsense.

Pretty sure that your aff sales are still going to drop? Call them out on it it could be some manager or something that is doing something shady to get some extra money. If they don't fix this then they probably don't give a shit about your history or relationship with them.
