middle men?

it's not in my theater .. i jsut checked

but it says aug 6th release date in selected theaters .. hmm

This looks like one of those movies that just gets dumped in a few theaters before going to DVD. I am surprised it wasn't straight to DVD. I think it was done a couple years ago and been in some kind of studio limbo. I saw some blogs talking about how they had to cut from an orgy scene to get an R rating and saw Luke Wilson on a late night show.

Middle Men, will be in Theatres in the United States this weekend in these cities and their surrounding areas: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Austin, Seattle and San Francisco. For those of you who live outside of these areas, the film will open nationwide on August 20th.

this seems right ... it got a lot of hype, so i think it would have to come to all theaters ..

i'm not expecting too much from the movie, just a fun watch it seems

i caught it friday...obviously some things were exaggerated but overall it was ok

lessons from the movie:

1. be creative

2. dont go into business with cokeheads or russians

3. cover your ass if you decide to ignore #2

I've read a few reviews of it and they all skew favorable, I was like you, assuming this was a straight to DVDer that made a wrong turn into semi-wide distribution, but more than one reviewer has mentioned the Scorsese noir-ishness of it. Film Noir was a pretty bad ass genre back in the day and despite the last 4 or 5 films prior to The Departed if it was said you were even sniffin' Scorsese's panties would be a huge compliment.

I concur. Film Noir is all kinds of awesome.

This seems like a great movie to load a few flasks of various brown liquors into, get hammered in the theater, and heckle the shit out of the movie for the "dramatization"s that Hollywood writers make, anybody in the Dallas are down for that in the next two weeks?

No chance this is ever going to see the light of the day in my country.

Waiting on that torrent..

Now thats just fucked up. LOL. Being a Russian my self I'd have to agree with that statement.

Probably that's why OP decided not to make logo lol:D

Things change a bit comparing to the time when you may 100% agree with this. Honestly in this AM field I found enough jerks, con-artists etc. being from US;) But you know...they always blame other one:)
