A lot of the ideas about monetizing are good, especially the vintage toys. I collect them (an academic farmer) as did my grandfather a farmer till he died.
As to the website, I am not certain the first thing I am interested in seeing on a web site is the history of what I do. I would think you could add some geo targeted weather module on the website. That way when the farmer comes to your site they get their weather. Next I would add a feed for commodity prices, most of the farmers I know follow commodities pricing as much as they follow sports scores. Last I would add a agricultural news feed, should be easy to find make.
Lastly you could market educational affiliate offers, since many farmers want their kids to goto college. In addition, many farmers use university ag extension offices all the time. Additionally, you could market consulting services and software (this would take more work since you would need to know the market and drum up your own offers, but the rewards could be great), I would consider paying for this if you could show me farmers coming to your site from my market.
