moolah's sneaky exit popup tip...

I never really post on wickedfire, but your dumb ass has made me feel obligated to. Lets break this down:

You are a stupid mother fucker that thinks because he has an exit pop idea that may or may not work that can squeeze a few extra convs out of a consumer its a great idea.

But then again, lets look at what your doing, deceptive advertising to the tee (aka tricking the consumer into thinking they've bought something when they haven't) and you're shooting yourself in the foot.

These convs will rebill like shit and get lots of complaints from the consumer. So what this does is a) pisses off the advertiser and results in a scrub/alternate billing conditions being turned on to compensate which in turn lowers the conversion rates for everyone and ultimately means you'll pull less conversions in the long term than if you used your head or the offer being pulled from the network, so it hurts you and a ton of other pubs.

b) You're going to cause a lot of complaints and bring in people investigating your ass, and guess what, since your actually fully deceiving the consumer, it wont be hard to nail you for the stupid fuck you sound like.

So your doing something for short term gain while fucking yourself majorly in the long term, is it really worth it?

Good job, its people like you that give this industry a way worse name

You mean the industry that lures idiots into giving up the mobile #s, email addresses and puts them on lead lists that cause them harassment for months if not years?

You mean the industry that sells placebo weight loss drugs, where people write false testimonials about how much money they make online, and some pretend to be the opposite sex to solicit signups to dating sites?

And don't even get me started on rebills.

Criticize the technique, but for the love of thor, don't try to stake out the moral high ground. It's dishonest.

Really, how is it more honest to imply an Oprah endorsement than to imply the customer has already ordered? It's all based on deception, subtle or obvious.

Wow you are really now smart.

Now the advertiser will get shit loads of chargebacks.

Don't you realize that this is shitting where you eat?

I don't think this would trick anyone into pulling out a credit card and purchasing. I do think this could be effective in list building on traffic that was leaving your site and that's probably what it's meant for.

I think that is what he meant also. Though I could be wrong. Use it for building a list for further monies.

Everyone is running around wondering why their rebill EPC has been falling and why their shit gets scrubbed then two threads away I see posts like these.

Fucksake do the math.

I agree, and if this "technique" was worth a fuck why would you share it?
