Which in your experience is the best tool for getting accurate search volume for keywords ?

The data the the tools give don't match the traffic stats of the websites.

How do you guys come up with accurate estimates?

I would say google keyword tool is the best.. Most of the Search engines are fetching data from google.. You get monthly volumes which can help you identifying the keyword

So far I find the Micro Niche Finder the most useful and best tool I have ever used since the everything I need is in it. I can find the domain availability as well of the keyword I am looking for and I can also look for a product in clickbank related to the keyword in just one click and a lot more features. Try to google Micro Niche Finder. You will see it yourself. :-)

I'd like to buy Micro Niche Finder, but their site is always down. I had my CC out today ready to buy and I can't even give them my money because they can't even get their shit straight with their website. Seems kinda silly.

I advise you to go with 'Google adwords' the best keyword tool available.

More over check the below google source in which it tells what are the top keywords for the year.

Google Zeitgeist 2010

Google keyword tool is the best one in my opinion, even if some of the data isnt really accurate! But consider buying keyword elite 2.0 from brad callen if you have the money left for it...

I do not agree that Google Adwords Keyword Tool is the most accurate. Google's actual searches change so much that their estimates are actually way off. This makes sense too because its FREE. If Google gave you the most accurate results, it would not be free. That being said, in my experience I like MNF, Micro Niche Finder, as a general tool because of the domain availability feature and the fact that they attempt to give some kind of competition analysis and measure of backlinks for keyword terms, but it also bases its search results off Google's search results, which makes that part of the tool just as inaccurate as Google's. So I have to say that the paid version of Market Samurai is hands down the most accurate tool out there. But if we are talking about only free tools here, then yea, stick with Google's Keyword Tool. When youre ready for paid, you won't go wrong with Market Samarai.

Adwords Keyword Tool is buy far the best I've used as far as results are concerned.

I am using position sniper and have tested the the results against google ad word tool and it gives the same results. So it's as accurate as google ad word.

But, it saves you the process of taking the keywords from the keyword tool to the traffic estimator and also searches for EMD on TLD.

For 17 USD a mth its worth it. Atleast for me.

i use market samurai which is a good tool, altho the google algo was giving their software problems recently, but they keep it up-to-date all the time and has all the stats you could want, and includes a Rank Tracker module too - a good allrounder - altho when it comes to search volume, I always assume that the volume is less than what it tells me as a precaution. At the end of the day, whatever tool you use, these tools can only give you estimates, so i always err on the side of caution by assuming the volume is about 20-25% less than what it tells me.

Market samurai is pretty impressive. If you have a google adword account you can get around 800 keywords to do research on. If you know you goals, market samurai is a tool to die for. I have heard good things about micro niche finder as well.
