Spore definitely spore. Followed closely by diablo 3. Spore was billed as a great evolutionary strategy game where you build your own species and could branch out and visit other players planets etc in real time. None of that shit worked.

As for diablo 3. Growing up I was an avid player of d2 and d3 was a blatant money grab with the real money auction house. They sent out an email last week essentially saying that they are razing the game to the ground and starting over while removing the auction house.

That looks awesome. Dare I dream? I've been hurt before.

I sure hope it'll be good.

Anyways, if anyone decides to register at their forum, it would be nice if you'd use this link: http://theuniversim.com/forums/index.php?app=referrals&reff=344 , so that I can get access to the early beta :D

Orb 3D. I was a kid, had been saving up my birthday christmas money for who knows how long. Finally get one of my parents to take me to a store. For some reason thought this would be cool. It came with 3D classes after all. Well it was basically pong with a foreground and background plane. Got bored of it in about 5 minutes, all my money wasted.

Torchlight 2

Not due to the game itself, but the fact that the game had extremely weak online options. If it had the online support like D2/D3 it would probably be a much more popular game.

Awwww nuts really? I was gonna try it out :(

People kept recommending it after the D3 debacle.

MLB 2K10 (or any other MLB 2k game)

You'd think it'd be easy to make a baseball game that does suck. You'd be terribly wrong. Worse yet, it hasn't got really any better.

It's fun but the online play is like D2 peer to peer play, meaning you can hack your items, character stats, level, etc. Overall it lacks a central server.

Have you seen the D3 news lately? They're making huge changes to items and removing the auction house.

If you want a good online Action RPG try out Path of Exile.

yup, spore. had the most active spore community, flew out to play it before the game launched and knew it'd suck ass within the first 10 minutes. i was so bored.

The Show is the best around anymore, well actually the only one around anymore. Unfortunately because of the MLB license it was only released for the Playstation. If it had been able to get even one season of PC release the mod communities would have turned it into the greatest baseball game ever.

But the best baseball game ever, at least as far as the game engine, was the High Heat series. Specifically the earlier ones. If that game engine could have been applied to the graphics and franchise features of The Show, it would have probably been the best sports game ever. 3DO had the physics and overall game engine down pat. After the mod community took over and tweaked it, game play and ball physics were outstanding. The biggest problem was collision detection and I've yet to find a sports game that does that really well.

Goldeneye for Wii
I was so excited for a new goldeneye game but then when i got it i went all the way through the tutorial and realized it never told me how to reload. After a lot of searching on the internet I found out you can only reload by running out of bullets (ruining your stealth obviously and pretty much any hope of having fun) or custom the controls getting rid of your ability to melee.
WTF! I haven't played it since.
