Hi all,

I just created my first lander with upsells in it. From what I've seen, people usually just upsell 1 product, but I came up with a "system" where I think I can upsell the visitor on 2 free trials. The way it reads, its totally plausible.

I'm obv going to test 2 vs 3 products on the page, but I'm curious if there is any reigning wisdom on this? If I can get mofos to go for all 3, that'll be like $125/conversion, which is pretty solid in my book (yes, I know you are richer than me haughty AM armchair man, har har). The main product is also branded (at least moreso than most aff products), so I'm thinking it may help.

Anyway, is there any prevailing wisdom re: multiple upsells?

Here I made this a while back for my crew just to explain shit easily with a pic: **NOTE: This is basic, you can have all kinds of creative variables integrated re CPS/PA, as well as move leads to sales floors/coaching etc... Some of my stuff lasts 2+ years and takes the customer through almost 20 steps incrementally throughout ;).

cool graphic, but what I'm talking about is different. I'm talking about an affiliate LP, like a Fnews page, that suggests a miracle "system" when you tell the person to take Acai PLUS ResV.

Not the traditional definition of upsell.

thats not 'new' at all. You must be new to affiliate marketing if you havent seen that done before.

Either way, it works and lots of people get the second trial as well.

Garret, I must have been unclear.

My question is not whether or not it works. I'm sure it does. My question is whether there's any wisdom to suggesting a system of THREE products instead of two, which is the norm.

no wisdom in it at all.

split test a page with 2, and a page with 3
calculate revenue generated

keep whichever one makes you more profit.

Make sure to contact your AM (if you're not going direct) and let them know that you're going to be upselling. I've seen disclaimers on certain offers that explicitly tell you that upselling is prohibited and they will not pay out those leads.

Chargebacks increase with the more upsells that are added.

People can lose $60-100 and not complain. But a lot of people just can't, financially, lose $200+ in the best case scenario when you have three re-bills.

That's why not too long ago there was a big fuss about advertisers only wanting you to promote one product on your flog/fnews instead of the "dynamic duo".
