I promoted one of their offer. Spend $5, got $2. Big deal. One failed experiment. Turns out that $2 sign up is by proxy. WTF? Banned.

Then....

[12:51:11 AM] GC: What was the traffic source you used, they want to know in order to re-instate my account
[9:16:38 AM] Teguh: I used adult traffic
[9:16:40 AM] Teguh: banners
[9:16:54 AM] GC: They want more specific than that... Oh well, I will take it as a loss... No big deal
[9:17:02 AM] Teguh: I will consult first
[9:17:15 AM] Teguh: if they know traffic source, they will just do it themselves and by pass us
[9:17:30 AM] GC: I know, thats why I am saying its no big deal.. wil take it as a loss and move on no big deal
[9:17:43 AM] Teguh: I don't want you to lose I will talk in wickedfire.
[9:17:49 AM] Teguh: if worst come to worst I'll tell traffic source

teguh ok we read it, its fixed.
u can still use the method but i will make it faster for you.
send me 500$ and i will send you 200$ back same minute.

I love that a network would ban an affiliate over $2. Not to say that I would do any differently, but it is just a laughable amount of money.

That means they're on the ball. That's a good thing. Banning on first lead is tough because there is that odd chance its the 1 in 10k chance its a real conversion that happened to come through a proxy. So they did the right thing and asked about the traffic to get a feel if it was legit, he refused to answer and from what it sounds like he admitted he shared his account with an unknown affiliate source (tehguy) who refused to say how he was running. I would make the same decision to ban in a heartbeat to. There is no point in risking an offer that another trusted and open affiliate(s) may be making their bread and butter on for only $2.

fuck. I'll just tell the traffic source. It's very famous and not working anyway for them. I skype them straight with no reply.

My friends got into peerfly easily. I wonder what stop them?

His name is TEGUH.

If the network doesn't have an internal traffic team, then share the source.

It sucks to share things, but you have to sometimes.

Stay away from networks that have internal traffic teams.

fuck that shit, id never share my details with "my good friendly neighborhood AM" out of sheer principle. regardless of if they have an internal traffic team or not, you don't know what your AM does in his spare time or what other networks he (or his "cousin") is signed up under.

back when i started running paid traffic, about 2 years ago I shared some details (I'll admit, it was with my manager at EWA) within days there was a "server issue" which caused some downtime and right after that I started seeing my creatives being promoted within my targeted demographic where I was promoting.

thats not to say there aren't good networks out there, and good AM's.

if you have a good reputation with the network, 1 bad lead shouldn't get you banned regardless if it was a fake or not. people fill in fake details all the time on forms.
