Official word on Myspace ads for int'l advertisers

I just received official word from Myspace regarding their plans for international users. I submitted a feedback ticket on their site yesterday, and here is what I just got in return:

Thank you for your interest in advertising on MySpace beta. At this time the Self-Serve Advertising Service is only available in the U.S. You must provide a credit card issued by a U.S. bank and have a U.S. billing address to participate.

We are aware that there is world-wide interest, and are currently researching international options.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

I really wish there was better campaign scheduling. I would like to run my ads between 7pm-3am, but the scheduling system they use goes by day only...so my big issues with Myspace right now are:

1. Minimum bids (.25)
2. inability to edit a campaign without pausing and resubmitting to Myspace.
3. weak campaign scheduling
4. slow ad approval speed

Anyone care to share CTRs so we at least have a baseline and know what we're working with?
I'll start. .13% (broad demo)

From 0.02% to 0.07% all 300x250 boxes. I've got a couple of 728x90 banners pending.

Only 1 ad is converting and not very well. $0.20 EPC for a 8 cent/click loss. The rest are 0.

Straight from MySpace themselves...

"Ads are reviewed in the order in which they are received. We appreciate your patience during the review process. During the beta test of this advertising platform we will have MySpace SSAP agents approving ads Monday thru Friday, from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Pacific Standard/Daylight Time). "

I know for a fact this is definitely NOT true. I still have a few ads sitting from 3 days ago. On average my ads take about 24 hours to be reviewed. I know people who get theirs reviewed on average within an hour. I know for a fact people who have submitted ads after me getting them approved first.

My experience with it so far is mostly composed of annoyance. The system is very strange. The ads seem to not get traffic all day and the suddenly they'll kick in and get a ton of impressions. That happened to me last night and I hit my budget. I upped my budget and have only had a total of like 5,000 impressions since on the same campaign.

Newly accepted ads seem to take at least 24 hours for me to even get a single impression. Then again, I know people who get traffic instantly after having their ads approved.

Since my limited success last night getting traffic, I haven't gotten more than 25 clicks. Quite honestly I'm just annoyed and don't like sitting around waiting for my traffic to kick in. I've been making absurdly large budgets for test niches simply because I'm afraid that if I hit a budget ever again the traffic will stop completely as it has this time. I don't want to be away from the computer thinking I have no traffic, then come back to have my entire budget eaten in an hour because they decided to start delivering some impressions.

Other annoyances can be found in the campaign system. You can't hide paused campaigns and you can't order the way you want to view your campaigns. It doesn't even seem like you can delete a campaign. Theres also no easy way to see the total amount of money you've spent on a campaign in the last day. It just shows you how much of your budget is left unless you go to the reports.

That being said, if I could get some traffic tonight I would most likely be profitable.

I got mine in but it was a pain in the ass.

Yeah, they randomly approve ads.

I created total of 5 campaigns and #2 campaign got approved but not the first one.

I found that my ads get approved much much faster if I have a budget of at least $50 and I set the ad to run for a year.

I don't know. I've got some in the queue with $100 budgets that still haven't been approved after over 24 hours and others that went through within a couple of hours with only $25 budgets.

I wonder if they're having their staff cherry pick certain types of offers. It certainly isn't in the order they're filed.

I had ads with a $3,000 budget waiting over 24 hours for approval. So I don't think it has anything to do with that...

is there a limited number of campaigns u can have pending?

my damn submit button doesn't work anymore lolz.

I've got a targeted ad with 0.23% CTR and $0.37 CPC, and only got 15,000 impressions today. What the hell do I need to do to get clicks???

I created some test spaces today in different demographics as one of the previous posters suggested - mostly young since that's what I'm targeting. 15yrs southwest, 20yrs south, 22yrs east, etc.

I went to each space and browsed around and refreshed a lot and I don't see any static ads coming up. All the ads are flash. So I wonder where the self-serve ads are going....
