Myspace Ads

Anyone have any luck with Ringtones? I've got a few ads with CTRs of 0.50%+ based around ringtones, but they aren't converting very well.

Tried two different ring tone offers. I got like 1 conversion. I tried broad targetting and then a couple of different narrow-target variations. Not sure what the problem was. Offer required too much reading or something.

disapproval

After seeing these ads; I was wondering if anybody has any disapproved ads. Al my offers and also pages that got disapproved on facebook got approved. Still have problems getting enough conversions.

I spent 3k yesterday on my ads, all of which got shut down today with the following message:

"Dear Advertiser:

We have stopped your <campaign name> for the following reason: Inappropriate Ad Images.

If you have any questions regarding this notification, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,
MySpace"

just logged into my account and over half the ads were disapproved after they had been approved. They didn't like the ad image and it was standard banners for the offers from the affiliate company lol wtf I logged in and all I see if a bunch of yellow highlights all over the screen.

I spoke to someone at foxinteractive they said they are going to be getting very stringent on ads.

They basically shit canned all my campaigns.
Back to google I guess.

Could I buy your creative from you since ur getting such a good ctr?

You would laugh at my creatives if you saw them. Plain old text 4 teh win! If you've got a successful ringtones campaign that converts, I'll trade you :)

Word of advice: When running a successful campaign that is banking on Myspace, do not pause and edit your campaign after 10pm ET. My budget was getting low, and I made that mistake. Now I'm losing out on $100's in profit from overnight.

It's absurd that someone has to approve a damn budget change. Once they approve the ad, why the hell does it matter if I alter my campaign settings? Myspace desperately needs to overhaul their system.

i've tried about 40-50 campaigns.

but no luck.. i have no clue how u guys are getting any ROI on this. ;(

Finally hitting some profitable campaigns.

Stats:
Box ad

CTR: 0.10%
CPC: $0.29

Spent: ~$51
Commissions: $210

Using a LP I have optimized a TON on facebook which probably explains the good ROI.

Not too bad... Just need to increase budget now.

its official Myspace sucks balls.

Target audience of 17m - impressions in the last 24hrs...... 8,241.

This must be a case of the facebook model (ctr = ads get shown) style pricing model.

What a fucking crap launch and roll out of a potentially great platform.

That's weird, because I edited my budget for one of my campaigns and it continued on as before.

That is the mystery. Sometimes when you change things around and the campaign comes to a halt but sometimes it continues.

I am baffled by it.

I haven't seen impressions and clicks since 1am. I've sent Myspace multiple e-mails, and my campaign is still down. I've paused and resubmitted multiple times, I've increased my bid, increased my budget, and it hasn't made a difference. Has anyone else experienced this and recovered their campaign?

I think the inventory is tight due to big companies.. might have to upped the bid. This is terrible.
