Ok.. so yesterday i ran a really succesful campaign on myspace that had like 1:3 ROI.. i figured i would scale it up and run it today... so i turn all the campaigns on before i go to school and am checking my stats during class and its converting HORRIBLE.. and the traffic is just pouring in so i go to the library during lunch and turn all of them off.. this is at 12:30 EST... right now it is 4:52 EST.. traffic is still coming in pretty hard... conversions have picked up a little and im lucky if i come out close to breaking even ... WTF!

They did the same thing to me a few days ago. I turned on an ad to see how it would perform, 30 minutes and 1000 clicks later I knew it was a dud, spending $10 for every $1 in, so i go to pause it a the ad center is down. It was down for 8 fucking hours. So they went ahead and dinged me for 2K. I contacted them and told them refund or else chargeback. I have not heard back yet, they pretty much have until monday night to reund me, otherwise it's chargeback time. I could have set the budget to $25, but then of course you get no traffic, so no way to evaluate a campaign.

hm.. do you think its a legit argument that they refund me.. its almost 5 hours and still getting traffic.. bad business

Facebook isn't honest at all. I've seen them pull a lot of shit on me too. In one instance, I received 1,500 clicks in 20 minutes all from the same state. In another instance, a campaign that I paused 24 hours prior was stilling racking up click; even though as much as I searched for it on FB; could never find it showing.

seems like my whole fucking account is locked up.. like my stats havent updated in forever too

do u think they will charge me for this shit?.. if i bitch them out... what should i do??

Yes, they will charge you because the system is not run by humans. It's automatic. You will have to get someone at Myspace to intervene and manually refund the charges. So far, beyond this little episode, the brain power at myspace seems far superior then the witless idiots who run Facebook. I am hoping they resolve my problem promptly. They have approve ads quickly and it seems consistent and when they deny one, you can ask why and you get a detailed reason, not that vague crap at FB.

ya i know it will automatically do it.. but do you think they would give me like credit or something.. cause its definitly on their end... im just steady losing money right now

Welcome to PPC.

I run primarily content network campaigns on Google, and some of the bigger campaigns that, unfortunately, have lead caps cap out each day take 3-4 hours to finally pause and continue to send sporadic bursts of clicks throughout the remainder of the day.

If I had to tally up these sporadic bursts of clicks throughout my paused campaigns on Google it would be in the $10,000's of dollars over the lifetime of the campaigns.

I've made the mistake of inquiring about this to the robot CSR's at Google, and each time had my account frozen for 3-5 days while they investigated, concluding each time that "unauthorized users" unpaused my campaigns. Right.

So, basically, you take it up the ass, and if you complain, you get it up the ass even harder by having your account frozen.

hm.. i dont think its that dude.. its not like 6 hours after pausing them.. and they are still getting shown steady

Moral of the story: Never set your campaign budgets to $10k when your pockets can't afford it.

Are you at least breaking even now?

Yeah.... I am finally getting clicks.. but had to pause as I am bombarded with clicks. Clicks are still coming in.

Damn!
