NASA Curiousity landing live stream

Can anyone explain to me why this is more important than paying off our debt or scientific advancement on the planet in the next 300 years?

Not sure if scam or I'm not getting it.

We'll have plenty of time before the sun is destroyed

Science for science sake has led to the greatest discoveries of all time. Not even counting all we learn from the mission itself, the things we'll tangentially gain could very well lead to the next great technological breakthrough.

Can you take the policical discussions to the other threads dedicated to it. I could really give a shit less if you like it or not and this isn't the place for it.

"policical?" You're fucking chatting about watching a livestream on STS and now you think you're Buzz Aldrin? Take your head out of your ass. Do you dress up in a tux and log into Wickedfire?

Not sure if stupid or just stupid.

Way to hijack a thread.

landing on the moon got us to where?

getting on mars will help us do what?

It's another step in our advancement of technology and knowledge. If you can't appreciate that, well of course you can't. You're probably a pot head who watches MTV all day.

By the way, NASA's budget is only 0.48% of the federal budget. Sadly it should be more than that. People constantly bitching about the costs don't have any idea how little NASA actually gets. If you want to cut costs and pay off our debt, start by eliminating all the useless jobs and departments in our government. Unless you think those jobs are more important than the advancement of our species. If everyone thought like you guys did, we would still be living in caves like pewep's family.

So forcing people at gunpoint to pay for things is cool?
