Hi All,

First of all I’d like to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. Who Am I, what I Do and most importantly why I am here?

Well my name is Nikhil and I’m 23yr old guy from India. After completing my graduation I did a diploma in web designing and letter I started my career as a web designer. But after 3-4 months I quit my job as neither I found it interesting nor I was very good at it (may be that’s the right reason, Sigh). In meanwhile I came to know about Internet Marketing and related stuff from one of my close friend like it’s an easy way to make lots of money and all. So i started reading and developing interest. Side by side i did a short term course on seo and internet marketing from a local institute. And yeah they provided me a placement in a small IT company. Now I'm working here from the past 5 months.

It’s a small IT company with only 4-5 employees. They provide products/software in the sphere of data recovery and email migrations. My role here is to promote and market their products over the internet. So i do all the SEO work for their sites. I'm also responsible for maintaining existing and sometimes designing their new websites due to my web-designer background. And guess what in spite of not being a professional content writer I do write content for their websites too. Here are the quick stats of the site I’m working:

1st Site: Working on this site from the last there and a half month

Alexa Rank: 1,443,401
Page Rank: 2

2nd Site Working on this from the last 3 months:

Alexa Rank: 1,740,218
Page Rank: 3

3rd Site Working on this from last 3 weeks only

Alexa Rank: 5,495,289
Page Rank: N/A

All of these sites are showing in google SERPs and the traffic is converting into sales too. And for this what i get is Rs.8000 ( USD 151) . I'm not complaining as long as I'm learning something from it. But i have a life too, i want to do something on my own to earn. Now what I'm thinking is becoming a software affiliate by joining their affiliate programs. So that i can sell their software and earn commission. I'm gonna create some websites and promote their products the way i do it here.

Now i want to ask from you guys it it going to work or its just a part of my day-dreaming routine:uhoh2:? I need your suggestions, advice about how to start it? Is it gonna work or not?

P.s: I don’t know whether it is the right place to ask or not? :party-smiley-004:But moderators please remind me in case if you’re going to delete it so that I can move to appropriate thread.

Regards
Nick

Some of those Indian chicks are so freaking hot its not funny. Why not set up a streaming porn site? I'll subscribe.

It sounds like you could adapt your experience to affiliate marketing software, although what you've been doing is probably more prospect-oriented. You write well, so you might consider continuing in that direction, building a site around a squeeze page and offering some sort of report or white paper related to the software you intend to market. The followup marketing could be as sophisticated as an autoresponder drip sequence, or to start you could even manage your list and promotions manually.

@Jcash
Thanks for your positive response. I would consider your advice/suggestions for sure. But being honest i had to google few terms mentioned by you. Now that's why I'm in a Fuckin ( Learned from Newbie Guide to Survive) newbie thread, :P. On a serious note i need to and i would love to learn new things. :)

@proxybysoul
Now your idea looks appealing to me. Would you seriously subscribe me? :D

Hi,

I'm planing to promoting a utility that transfer iphone files to MAC and window based computer. And for this I'm planing to target these two keywords:

iphone to mac, iphone to computer

Can anybody analyse comment on would it be a wise decision to target these two keyword in terms of competition, profit and other related factors?
