Hey,

Alright I'm new here and my questions might seem dumb in your eyes, but its worth a try.

Past weeks I read a lot about SEO, Eli's articles, seocracy and tons of other sites and I think I understood the basic things.
I have a 2-3 sites now, random crap, some bigger and some smaller, some with quality some with crap content. And I realize that a handful of sites is nothing. Especially if I read through the bluehatseo articles speaking of 5 million pages :)

So I need to generate some content, my problem is, I'm not really sure which technique to use to create this content.
I think about the following main options:

1) desert scraping outdated sites
2) cycle sites (scraping relevant rss feeds from others)
3) try to find more or less effective niche keywords and generate some random content (scraping, translation fu etc..)
4) buy already existing databases (what about duplicate content)?

I'm not sure in which direction I should start, and how to organize the whole thing, here are my questions:

- I have a domain, something general like blogspot.com which looks like a general blog/site host, and I plan to flood it with smaller keyword related sites and blogs (with different subdomains), hosted on a load of different hosting providers.
Is this a good idea don't search engines like this? I think its easier to generate, with subdomains.

- When speaking about a seo empire like on bluehatseo, if I understood this right, I should only use adsense and simliar things at the upper layers. If I have some random keyword, more spammy sites at the bottom, that link up to the other sites, what kind of ads do you use on those sites? I think its a good idea to use as many different services as possible, right?

- Content.. I'm pretty good and fast in writing scrapers, since I'm developing web stuff mainly and there are in my eyes the three main sections that are to automate, keyword checking, content generation and link distribution (socialmarker and all those sites).
Are there any _good_ existing scripts already that can automate whole processes for such a huge number of sites? I tested some for keyword selection and content aggregation but somehow they are all mainly just bullshit scripts that are sold to make some quick money, so I wrote some scrapers, but this is really a lot of work and I don't wanna re-invent the wheel.

Alright, I'm not sure if those questions are detailed enough, I just somehow need a little push in the right direction.. and excuse my grammar, this is not my native language.

Thanks,
Christoph

I know this may seem like a poncy answer but why not all of the above... the more techniques that you can merge together the better.

use what your comfortable with and build on it, adapt it, pull it apart, put it back together again, experiment, experiment, experiment..

hm yeah you're probably right.

nevertheless my questions:

lets say I build a site with some more or less quality content.
and I build some spammier/random sites that link up to it.
I guess I shouldn't use adsense on those bottom sites, right?
What to use on those sites then (cycle sites, random content sites etc) if you don't want to get kicked by google?

and is it okay to use subdomains like keyword.mysuperbloghost.com for the pages?
